ABOUT THE ACTORS' SYMPOSIUM
The Actors’ Symposium was born from the observation of its founders that, while gaining an education in the arts, most of the emerging actors in Canada haven’t been taught practical knowledge and applicable skills to succeed in a highly competitive business.
The two day, Actors’ Symposium will educate established and aspiring artists in their pursuit of a career in the exciting world of the performing arts.

The unique congress of artists and professionals provides a forum for creative discussion and an opportunity to exercise and showcase the next tier of great performing artists in our nation.

The main objective of T.A.S. (The Actors’ Symposium) is to provide guidance and educate emerging and aspiring actors while introducing them to some of the key players within the industry.

THE FRIENDS FOR LIFE BIKE RALLY
As the second-largest fundraiser benefiting an HIV/AIDS organization in Canada, the Toronto-Montreal Friends for Life Bike Rally is a national story. On July 27, 2008, 500 courageous individuals will embark on an incredible journey. For six days, our riders will cycle over 600km from Toronto to Montreal with the support of a fabulous crew, and in doing so will raise thousands of dollars for men, women and children living with HIV and AIDS. The experience promises to have a profound impact on the lives of each and every participant. The Friends For Life Bike Rally has been a huge success since it began nine years ago. It is the largest fundraiser for the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation and last year's gross of over $815,000 set a record.

For many years, the pink ribbon has come to symbolize breast cancer awareness. PYNK is a new twist, focusing on the needs of young women with breast cancer. PYNK: Young Women's Breast Cancer Program is the first of its kind in Canada. It is aimed at addressing the special clinical and research needs of younger women with breast cancer.
