BUDDIES IN BAD TIMES
Buddies in Bad Times Theatre presents the world premiere of AGOKWE
We launch the season with a new work from 23-year-old Ojibwa artist Waawaate Fobister. Developed through our Queer Youth Arts Programme, Agokwe explores unrequited love between Jake and Mike, two young men from neighbouring reserves. They meet briefly at a post-hockey tournament party where they bashfully express their mutual feelings for each other. However youth, distance and social isolation strive to pull the threads apart when tragedy intervenes.
SHOW DATES: Sept. 23 - Oct. 12, 2008
Written and Performed by Waawaate Fobister
Directed by Edward Roy

Dancing With Stars Can Be Murder!
Welcome to Dancing With Stars: The Finals! With your host: Jimmy Kibble
We're down to the final 3 couples. Which of them will be our winners? Our remaining celebrities are: Shayne Newton, Ryan Seafoam, & Mary Kate Lohanspears. They'll be dancing with their Professional Partners. As always, our Head Judge is Bruno Tarantella. Tonight, our Prima Ballerina, Tatiana Imasonova, will be teaching us all a classical, Russian dance.
Come and join the fun and see if you can solve "whodunit?" in our lampooning of the popular reality dance show.
"... a particularly tasty piece of entertainment. Their current production is one of their cleverest and funniest in recent memory. There's a new chef in the kitchen, Therese de Grace, who delivers some amazingly complex dishes as part of the three-course dinner menu. You'll eat well, you'll laugh heartily and you'll only have to park the car once. That's my definition of a fun night out."
